Botox/Xeomin

Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxin that is approved by the FDA to treat wrinkles of the face as well as orofacial pain. Botulinum toxin is injected and it acts to relax the intended hyperactive muscle that is the source of wrinkles or pain. Dr. Marshall has been highly trained and is a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. He offers botulinum toxin (Botox/Xeomin) treatments in the office to treat:

1) Forehead lines, “11s,” “crows feet.” radial lip lines

2) Temporomandibular Joint Disorder- Botulinum toxin is injected into the masseter and temporalis muscles causing them to be less active. This then relaxes them and the pain starts to become less and less

3) Trigger points- There are muscles in our neck and shoulders that tend to be very active due to stress. Botulinum toxin is injected in conjunction with dry needling, in order to break up the muscle fibers and ultimately relax the hyperactive muscles leading to much pain relief.
